Cueto's gem stirs up memories of Morris' legendary Game 7

Believe it or not, Johnny Cueto's two-hitter in the Royals' 7-1 victory over the Mets on Wednesday was the first complete game by an AL pitcher in the World Series since Jack Morris in 1991.

Who can forget that one: a 10-inning shutout in Game 7 to lift the Twins past the Braves for the championship. You can watch the entire epic performance in the video below.

Like Cueto, Morris was a new addition, having signed with the hometown Twins in '91 after 14 seasons with the Tigers. Also like Cueto, Morris would be a free agent after the season.

Will Cueto follow in Morris' footsteps and sign with the Blue Jays in the offseason?

If he pitches the Royals to a World Series title, KC fans might not mind.
