Well this is something you don't see every day.

Jake Lamb ended up scoring for the Arizona Diamondbacks when a Ross Stripling pitch did a magical disappearing act on its way to Dodgers catcher Yasmani Grandal.

Ross Stripling threw one at the top of the fourth and Grandal's mask somehow came off ... but the ball was nowhere to be found.

It turned out the ball had somehow snuck its way into the catcher's chest protector. According to MLB.com, the now-you-see-it-now-you-don't ball was deemed a wild pitch, which allowed Arizona's Jake Lamb to score from third.

Though the Dodgers turned out to have the ultimate ace up their sleeve, as they routed the Diamondbacks 14-3.
