David Price unlikely to be available in Game 5
Much has been said about Toronto Blue Jays manager John Gibbons' decision to throw David Price up 7-1 in Game 4, but looking ahead, it seems as though he will be out for the decisive Game 5 in Toronto.
“Well, I’m not sure, (but) I wouldn’t necessarily count on it,” Gibbons told the media via the Toronto Star.
Instead, the Jays will rely on Marcus Stroman, who has only five starts under his belt this season after ACL surgery early in spring training.
Gibbons wouldn't completely rule out using Price, but it is highly doubtful.
“You know, first, David is very instrumental in getting us here, but he’s not here to be abused either,” he said. “So we’ll see, but don’t count on it.”
Price threw three innings in Monday's Game 4, surrendering three runs while tossing 50 pitches.
