Through six innings Thursday night against the Pirates, Diamondbacks pitcher Zack Greinke has yet to allow a hit.
Greinke, 33, has never thrown a no-hitter in his 14-year MLB career. He has 16 complete games to his name, most recently an eight-inning complete game in a 2–1 loss to the Padres on April 19.
The most recent no-hitter by an Arizona pitcher was Edwin Jackson’s on June 25, 2010. The last time the Pirates were no-hit was by Max Scherzer on June 20, 2015.
