DJ LeMahieu granted Rockies' Heart and Hustle Award
DJ LeMahieu is having an excellent season for the Colorado Rockies, but what has impressed the baseball community isn't just his success but how he's gone about playing the game as well.
LeMahieu was granted the Rockies' Heart and Hustle Award by the MLB Players Alumni on Tuesday, joining the likes of Paul Goldschmidt, Joc Pederson, Brandon Crawford, and Derek Norris in the NL West to receive the honor this year.

The Heart and Hustle Award, which has been issued by the MLB Players Alumni Association since 2005, is granted by MLB alumni and current players to an active player on each team who "demonstrates a passion for the game of baseball and best embodies the values, spirit and traditions of the game."
Previous Rockies recipients of the award include last year's winner Corey Dickerson, Michael Cuddyer, Troy Tulowitzki, Clint Barmes, and Jamey Carroll.
