The Kansas City Royals have finally -- officially -- brought the Commissioner's Trophy home after their World Series win over the New York Mets.
After the championship, the trophy was centerpiece of the Royals' after party in the locker room. It was doused with champagne and then immediately went on tour around the country with players and was featured in the team's championship parade in Kansas City.
Now, the trophy, freshly engraved with "2015 World Series Champions Kansas City Royals," has returned to the Royals' Hall of Fame after being professionally restored to pristine condition by Tiffany & Co., which created the trophy.
