Giancarlo Stanton hits galactic home run in return to Marlins lineup
On Monday night, Giancarlo Stanton made his return to the Miami Marlins starting lineup after an extended absence due to a groin injury.
If you had any doubts whether Stanton's unfathomable power was going to be diminished by his injury, that argument was put to rest when Giancarlo unleashed this absolutely mammoth home run in the second inning of Monday night's game vs. the Washington Nationals:
He hit it over the damn Budweiser sign located above the left center field concourse bar.
Dee Gordon's reaction says all you need to know:
The baseball traveled an estimated 448 feet with an exit velocity of 115 miles per hour. No word yet from NASA as to what this comet's name is, we'll keep you updated as soon as it's released.
This is @FlashGJr's expression on that @Giancarlo818 HR, that went OVER the Bud bar. @Marlins #Marlins #MLB pic.twitter.com/fcMS81MuDm
