Giants' Hunter Pence delivers perhaps the season's most bizarre walk-off hit
The San Francisco Giants appear to have the even-year magic working in their favor.
They won their third consecutive game Monday night -- their 11th win in their past 12 games -- and did it in rather bizarre fashion.

Locked in a scoreless pitchers' duel against the San Diego Padres, Hunter Pence pinch-hit in the ninth inning with Brandon Belt on first base and two outs. Pence sent a high popup behind second base and dropped his bat in disgust as headed toward first base. However, the ball dropped between Padres second baseman Alexi Amarista and right fielder Matt Kemp, allowing Belt to score all the way from first.
"That's my fault," Kemp said, according to MLB.com. "There's really not much to say other than it should've been caught. And that's not Amarista's ball, that's my ball. It's easier for me coming in to get the ball than him going back. I take all the fault for that."
The Giants are getting all the bounces and have a 4 ½-game lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NL West.
