Indians and Cubs make big changes to World Series Game 4 lineups
The Indians and Cubs' starting lineups look a bit different heading into Game 4 of the World Series.
Cubs manager Joe Maddon has opted to start Jason Heyward in right field, replacing Jorge Soler. It will be be the first World Series start for Heyward, who will bat seventh for the Cubs.
Heyward, who signed a $184 million, eight-year contract with the Cubs this past offseason, has not started since Game 5 of the NLCS and is 2-for-31 (.065) with one RBI this postseason.
Maddon also moved up shortstop Addison Russell to the sixth spot in the batting order.
Veteran slugger Mike Napoli is not in the starting lineup for the Indians, as manager Terry Francona will start Carlos Santana at first base instead.
Napoli, who had started every postseason game this season, is hitting .184 in the playoffs with 15 strikeouts. He's also 2-for-9 with three strikeouts against John Lackey, Chicago's Game 4 starter.
