The Chicago Cubs sure seem to love teammate David Ross.

Earlier this week, we learned that Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo started an Instagram account to chronicle Ross' final season in the majors.

And now comes word that Jason Heyward will pay for Ross to have a hotel suite for every road game this season.

"That's one of the first emotional moments I had in the offseason," Ross told MLB.com. "[Heyward] texted me this nice long message about supposedly what I've done for him. That was cool to start reflecting back and people you've played with start saying nice things."

Ross must have made a huge impression on Heyward, who signed an eight-year, $184 million deal this past offseason, while the two were teammates in Atlanta from 2010-2012.

The 38-year-old Ross is somewhat of a father figure to his much younger Cubs teammates. This will be his 15th season in the majors and his second with Chicago. Primarily a backup during his years in the majors, Ross is a career .228 hitter who won a World Series ring with the 2013 Boston Red Sox.
