Joc Pederson named Dodgers' Heart and Hustle Award winner
Joc Pederson has enraptured baseball fans in his rookie season not just with his behemoth power and sensational fielding, but also for the fervor with which he plays the game.
Pederson was named the Los Angeles Dodgers' recipient of the MLB Players Alumni's Heart and Hustle Award on Tuesday, becoming the first Dodgers rookie to receive the award.

The Heart and Hustle Award, which has been issued by the MLB Players Alumni Association since 2005, is granted by MLB alumni and current players to an active player on each team who "demonstrates a passion for the game of baseball and best embodies the values, spirit and traditions of the game."
Previous award recipients for the Dodgers include Dee Gordon, who was granted the award last season, Nick Punto, Jerry Hairston Jr., Jamey Carroll, Matt Kemp, Russell Martin, and Eric Gagne.
