Jose Altuve talks Astros' success and All-Star start in radio interview
Next Tuesday, Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve will make his first career start in the All-Star Game, having beaten out the Kansas City Royals' Omar Infante shortly before voting closed last week.
Altuve called in to 'The Drive Home' on SportsTalk 790 in Houston to talk about his All-Star status, the Astros' success so far this season and other topics. Take a listen below:
Altuve's Astros are struggling a bit lately, seeing their lead in the AL West shrink to just 1.5 games entering play Thursday. The club reportedly has its eyes on acquiring bullpen help in addition to finding a rotation arm to complement Dallas Keuchel and Collin McHugh, so the next few weeks will be pretty important for their chances of holding on to the West's top spot.
