Kershaw's Dodgers jersey top seller, but eclipsed by Giants' Bumgarner

Clayton Kershaw is a reigning Cy Young winner and MVP, but that's not quite enough to make him the most popular pitcher in baseball – as far as jersey sales are concerned.

MLB and the MLB Players Association released the rankings for jersey sales from MLB.com's shop for the first half of the season on Thursday, and Kershaw ranked No. 4 on the list, beating out popular young stars Bryce Harper and Mike Trout.

The only three players to sell more jerseys in the first half were Cubs rookie Kris Bryant and the Giants' Buster Posey and Madison Bumgarner, with Bumgarner atop the list.

Of course, jersey sales aren't exactly an accurate measurement of popularity, but the list just goes to show what winning a World Series can do for a franchise.

One can only imagine that Kershaw would be No. 1 if he, Adrian Gonzalez, who also made the top 20, and the Dodgers were to win the World Series in 2015.
