The leadoff men certainly did their part in Tuesday's All-Star Game in Cinncinnati.
Los Angeles Angels center fielder Mike Trout led off the game with a long ball against NL starter Zack Greinke, who entered the game with a 35 2/3-inning scoreless streak.
It was the first All-Star Game leadoff homer since 1989 when Kansas City Royals outfielder Bo Jackson went yard.

In the bottom of the sixth, NL leadoff hitter Andrew McCutchen, Pittsburgh's center fielder, took Tampa Bay Rays right-hander Chris Archer deep to cut the AL's lead to 3-2.
McCutchen was the 2013 NL MVP, while Trout is the reigning AL MVP.
