LeBron James shares uplifting message for the Indians after crushing World Series loss
After Rajai Davis hit his game-tying home run in the bottom of the eighth inning of Game 7 that rocked the World Series, LeBron James lost his mind just like the rest of the Indians fans rooting like hell for the comeback.
The Indians were down two with four outs to go, and now suddenly they had new life and hope of winning the World Series. LeBron celebrated accordingly:
Alas, it wasn't meant to be.
The Cubs scored two runs in the 10th inning to beat the Indians 8-7 and win their first title in 108 years.
After the game, James posted a video congratulating both the Indians and Cubs on incredible seasons and offering some words of encouragement to his hometown team.
"Just want to congratulate the Indians on an unbelievable season. You guys did something that nobody would ever think you guys could do, and we're very proud of you. The whole Cavs organization, all the fans, the whole city of Cleveland, we're all proud of you guys. You guys got nothing to hang your heads low about. Use this as inspiration and get ready for next year.
"Also want to congratulate the Chicago Cubs on winning the World Series -- the first one in 100-plus years. Magical season to y'all, you guys were the best team in baseball all year, man, and you guys showed why. Much respect to both ball clubs ... looking forward to seeing [the Indians] back out there next year, so all good."
