Marlins give Dee Gordon bling to rival 2 Chainz, his reaction is priceless
The Miami Marlins don't do a lot of great stuff on a regular basis, so when there is something to celebrate, owner Jeffrey Loria likes to go big.
He did it again Tuesday, giving Dee Gordon an iced-out chain with a Marlins pendant to celebrate his 2015 NL batting title and other accomplishments (stolen base title, All-Star selection, Gold Glove, Silver Slugger).
Gordon got so excited — maybe more excited than he was at all those accomplishments — that he reverted to, oh, about age 13. For a better look at his reaction, check out the video below.
"Can I show this to my teammates?" he asked Loria after trying it on.
"You can do whatever you want with it," Loria said.
Second-best reaction: Manager Don Mattingly, who didn't wear much bling growing up in Evansville, Indiana, but HAD TO have worn a small gold rope in New York back in the '80s.
"Is that a chain or a belt buckle?"
Now the question is if they're giving Gordon a chain that big, how big is the one they've gotta give Giancarlo Stanton? "Is that a chain or a scoreboard?"
