Since Albert Pujols signed with the Angels, Matt Holliday â and his wife â have hosted the Pujols Family Foundation Golf Tournament, which took place Monday.
"It's a great organization, and Albert's a great friend, and [Albert's wife and foundation president] Deidre," Holliday told Cardinals.com. "They're great people and do great things, so it's easy for us."
The Pujols Family Foundation helps families that have children with Down Syndrome.
While Pujols' name is on the tournament, he's not the only former Cardinal that is involved.
Former manager Tony La Russa was in attendance Monday.
"It's the easiest decision you make all year," La Russa said. "I remember when they [Albert and Deidre] were thinking about putting it together, and I said, 'Well, the idea is nice.' But really following through, they've been amazing."
