Mike Trout nailed his first report as the Angels' official weatherman
Thursday night was a big night for Mike Trout. The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim's center fielder recorded his first two hits of the season and delivered his first weather report of the year for the Angels' Twitter account.
It was just a matter of time before Storm Chaser @MikeTrout got his own weather segment.

Trout might have also set a record for the shortest weather report of all time with this one. He was accurate though, as there was light rain during the game. Trout is a known weather fanatic, so perhaps this first weather report could grow into full-length forecasts by the end of the season.
But the more important achievement for Trout came early Thursday night when the center fielder recorded his first hit of the season -- a single -- in the first inning of a 4-3 walk-off win over the Texas Rangers. Trout singled again to lead off the eighth inning.
The 24-year-old is 2-for-12 so far this season with one walk and five strikeouts. Angels fans have to hope Trout's pair of singles Thursday are a sign that the former AL MVP is finally settling in at the plate.
