The San Diego Padres have agreed to trade All-Star left-hander Drew Pomeranz to the Boston Red Sox, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
Boston pitcher Anderson Espinoza is said to go to San Diego for part of the trade, pending medical review, FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports.
#RedSox's willingness to give up Espinoza for Pomeranz not simply reflection of seller's market. Trademark aggressiveness by Dombrowski.

Pomeranz, 27, just pitched his first All-Star Game in San Diego on Tuesday. The former Rockies and A's hurler is 8-7 with a 2.47 ERA and 1.06 WHIP in 17 starts this season, and has drawn interest from several teams.
