Papelbon jerseys apparently removed from Nats team store
A day after Jonathan Papelbon's aggressive confrontation with Bryce Harper, the Washington Nationals have apparently removed the closer's presence from the team store.
According to photos taken by fans prior to the Nats' home finale on Monday, Papelbon's No. 58 jersey was removed from the team store hours before the game, and appeared to be replaced with Stephen Strasburg jerseys.
A before-and-after photo captured by a fan revealed the contrast.
So I doubt I'm the first to do this but the one on the left was just now (4 pm) on the right was 1:15 pm. #Nats pic.twitter.com/n0sKwHImGB

Another fan also snagged a photo of what appeared to be a worker taking Papelbon jerseys away, but the number on the jerseys isn't visible.

Papelbon, who is under team control for 2016, has played his final game for the Nationals this season. He's serving a four-game suspension from the team for his altercation with Harper, and a three-game ban from MLB for throwing at the head of Baltimore Orioles third baseman Manny Machado last week.
