Houston Astros rookie Carlos Correa is known as 'Showrrea' among some of his teammates due to his fast start and sustained success this season.

Earlier in the year, reliever Luke Gregerson told Correa to get 'Team Correa' t-shirts made up for the rest of the team, and the 20-year-old complied. The tees, special Nike shirts with 'Showrrea' emblazoned across the front, made their way to Minute Maid Park over the weekend.

Correa explained the situation to Jose de Jesus Ortiz of the Houston Chronicle: “We were on a road trip, and Gregerson told me I needed to make Team Correa shirts for everybody. As a rookie if they ask me to sing on the bus or do other things, I’ll do them. If he tells me to bring shirts, I’ll bring them."

He added, "I ordered them right away. I wanted to make them so they’d like them. I wasn’t going to bring some cheap shirts. I got them some Nike shirts so they could use them out for batting practice.”

They did just that, wearing the shirts during batting practice ahead of Saturday night's game with the Oakland Athletics. Here are some images of the tees in action, courtesy of photographer Juan DeLeon on Instagram:

Correa's affable attitude and willingness to make his teammates happy is part of what has made him such an indispensable part of the Astros' lineup since making his debut earlier this season.
