Pirates pitcher shares emotional moment with dad after win in MLB debut
Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Trevor Williams made his MLB debut on Wednesday night, which is ordinarily a very special occasion for any baseball player and his family. For Williams and his family, though, the night was a little bit extra special considering he also got the first win of his career.
Immediately following the game, the 24-year-old went over to the crowd to embrace his wife and baby. Standing just a few feet away was Williams' father, who could barely contain his emotions as an extremely proud dad. It was just an awesome moment.

It has to be an unbelievable feeling as a parent to witness a child achieve their lifelong dream, especially if you've been there on the long journey with them every step of the way. It also has to be an unbelievably satisfying experience as a child to see a parent become overwhelmed with joy and pride over your personal accomplishment.
It's safe to say that this a moment neither father nor son will ever forget.
