Red Sox P Joe Kelly offers playoff tickets to Ken Bone
As you likely know by now, an undecided voter named Ken Bone was the runaway winner of Sunday night's presidential debate.
Bone was a bright spot in a relatively erratic and ugly second debate, and the internet came together to collectively celebrate the mustachioed, sweater-clad man who asked the candidates about their plans for energy policy. Because of the attention he got via social media, Bone did several media appearances on Monday morning to talk about the election and his experience at the debate.
One of the many people that Bone apparently won over was Red Sox pitcher Joe Kelly, who sent out the following tweet on Monday afternoon.
Not only did Kelly declare his allegiance to Bone, he also said that he was planning on leaving the icon some tickets to Monday's ALDS Game 3 between Boston and Cleveland.
Who knows if Bone is even a baseball fan, but you can't blame Kelly for shooting his shot. Maybe Bone will show up and provide the spark the Red Sox need to get back into the series against the Indians, who currently have them in a 2-0 hole.
Unfortunately, Kelly failed to actually tag Bone in the tweet, so somebody is going to have to relay the offer.
