Report: Pirates interested in Napoli, Victorino of Red Sox
The Boston Red Sox have been abysmal this season.
Heading into Sunday's games, their .439 winning percentage was the worst in the American League.
Despite rumors that they're one of the teams interested in Cole Hamels, they look like they could sell their veteran players in an attempt to reload for 2016.
Enter the Pittsburgh Pirates.
According to a report, the Pirates are interested in Shane Victorino and Mike Napoli:
Napoli has struggled at the plate this season, hitting just .205 (60/93).
Victorino hasn't been fully healthy, appearing in just 33 games, batting .245 (23/94) over that span. Moving the veteran outfielder, however, would allow the Sox to promote Jackie Bradley Jr. for steady playing time.
Sources: #pirates have looked into Mike Napoli and Shane Victorino. Napoli scuffling at plate but has been decent defensively.
