Rich Hill made history in his start for the Boston Red Sox on Sunday.

He became the best pitcher in Sox history. Sort of.

Sure, he might not be as legendary as Pedro Martinez or Roger Clemens or Cy Young, but at least he has bragging rights over them for the foreseeable future.

In his dominant start Sunday, he put himself in even more rarified air:

His start was his first since July 27, 2009 when he was with the Baltimore Orioles.
