Super Royals fan SungWoo Lee to return to Kansas City for the World Series?

Looks like Royals uberfan SungWoo Lee may be returning to Kansas City for the World Series.

As we all know, the South Korean captivated the nation back in August when some Royals fans helped Lee, a devoted, long-suffering, long-distance follower of the team for some 20 years, make a Kansas City tour Stateside.

What started out a modest fan-led tour turned into a full-blown media extravaganza when the team itself got on board, and Lee was able to make the first pitch and meet the players while also taking a tour of the Missouri city.

Lee's magical visit, it turned out, also coincided with the Royals' winning season. Lee was present when Kansas City won their eighth straight and made it to first place in the American League Central.

Of course, the Royals' season didn't just end there, as Kansas City continued their surge and made their first World Series since 1985 with an Orioles sweep on Wednesday.

And now it looks like SungWoo Lee may be coming back to witness it, thanks to a campaign to #BringBackSungWoo

"Would the Royals be in the Series if SungWoo hadn't visited this summer?" stated filmmaker Josh Swade, who helped ask Lee's new employer for the time off. "We cannot scientifically prove otherwise."

Looks like Swade was successful, as seen from these Friday tweets:

And while Lee himself has not officially posted on his Twitter account that he will, in fact, be present at Kauffman Stadium next Tuesday, he did re-tweet this:
