Tampa Bay Rays prospect calls out Bryce Harper for 'Make Baseball Fun Again' hat
During his media availability after last night's win over the Atlanta Braves, Bryce Harper doubled down on his stance that the game of baseball has become "tired" with his hat, à la presidential hopeful Donald Trump:

21-year-old Brent Honeywell, pitcher for the Charlotte Stonecrabs (Tampa Bay Rays A-level affiliate), took umbrage with Harper's hat and the idea that baseball isn't already "fun." So he took to Twitter to let some shots ring out on Monday night:
And just to be sure Harper saw his tweets, Honeywell circled back and tagged the former National League MVP in the thread.

Honeywell later walked some of his earlier comments back, saying that the Nationals outfielder isn't a "bad guy" but that it still "baffles" him that Bryce Harper would complain about the state of baseball when he's, well, Bryce Harper. Which is at least porous logic if it isn't bad outright.
@SertMcGirt it sucks to see it because guys in MILB are workin to death to be in his shoes and he's basically complaining. Grow up.

At any rate, Honeywell wants to face Harper, and if the baseball gods exist, he will. Then he'll hang a high fastball a little to close to Harper's head, and like most things surrounding the maddeningly nebulous but super sacred Unwritten Rules of Baseball, it'll end with two cleared benches and zero punches thrown.
