The entire Chicago Cubs infield is leading in All-Star Game voting
The Chicago Cubs boast the best record in MLB at 36-15. The offense is slugging at a torrid pace, and the pitching staff, led by Jake Arrieta, has been outstanding.
It's no surprise to see the Cubs well represented in the first update on the National League All-Star fan voting. If voting ended today, the Cubs' infield would be starting for the National League. First baseman Anthony Rizzo, second baseman Ben Zobrist, third baseman Kris Bryant and shortstop Addison Russell all lead their respective positions. Surprisingly, Rizzo, who's struggled a bit at the plate this season, leads all players with 874,471 votes.

The only positions not led by Cubbies are catcher and outfield, where Miguel Montero and Dexter Fowler are third and second, respectively. Yadier Molina leads all National League backstops, while Bryce Harper is first among outfielders and second among all vote-getters.
At this rate, the entire Cubs roster will be in attendance in San Diego for the All-Star Game on July 12, with most of them starting.
"Our guys are likable. They're approachable," Cubs manager Joe Maddon said. "They're blue collar, man. There's not a white-collar guy among them. They come out there, they get their fingernails dirty and I think people appreciate that. I think they're very Chicago."
