Nationals catcher Wilson Ramos has been diagnosed with a torn ACL, manager Dusty Baker announced Tuesday.

Ramos left Monday’s 14–4 loss to Arizona after injuring the knee while in the air trying to catch a relay throw on a two-run double. He was helped off the field by medical staff, and was unable to put any weight on the leg. It’s the same knee he hurt in 2012.

Ramos is hitting .307 this season with 22 home runs and 80 RBI—all career-highs. The 29-year-old is set to become a free-agent at the end of the season, and reportedly turned down a three-year, $30 million extension from Washington last month.
