Tigers' Buck Farmer battling forearm injury, again
In his first appearance in a week, Tigers starter-turned-reliever Buck Farmer was forced to leave Wednesday night's game early, due to forearm tightness.
From MLive:
"Well, I think the forearm was kind of tightening up on him a little bit. Not sure if that was something that had been bothering him before. After the first pitch, I just kind of saw him shake his arm a little bit. Figured I'd go out there, see what's up," catcher Alex Avila said via The Morning Sun. "There's no sense trying to push him."
The Tigers had thought the issue, which popped up over a week ago, had cleared up, but apparently not. Ausmus said there's no timetable yet for Farmer's return.
"It was something he felt last week that seemed to have cleared itself up," Ausmus said. "But I don't have anything definitive on Buck right now."
