Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander surrenders four home runs in one nightmare inning
The Detroit Tigers started the fifth inning of Sunday's game against Cleveland tied 2-2, but the Indians lit up pitcher Justin Verlander with four home runs to open up an 8-2 lead. Juan Uribe and Tyler Naquin hit back-to-back solo shots, but Verlander recovered by getting Carlos Santana to fly out and striking out Michael Martinez.
Francisco Lindor then singled to center field, and Mike Napoli belted a shot to left field. Verlander remained in the game, and proceeded to give up a single to Jose Ramirez and a final two-run homer before exiting.
