HOUSTON (AP) Tony Sipp has agreed to an $18 million, three-year contract to remain with the Houston Astros.

A 32-year-old left-hander, Sipp had a career-best 1.99 ERA in 60 games last season. He was 3-4 with 62 strikeouts in 54 1/3 innings.

Over the last two seasons, Sipp has held opponents to a .184 batting average. He pitched 5 1-3 scoreless innings of one-hit relief in this year's playoffs, appearing in all six of Houston's games.
