Trevor Bauer sums up his bloody, disastrous Game 3 in one tweet
Game 3 of the ALCS did not go at all like Trevor Bauer had hoped.
The Cleveland Indians gave him the ball on the road in Toronto hoping he could help push them to a 3-0 lead in the series over the Toronto Blue Jays, and Bauer couldn't get out of the first inning.
He was pitching with stitches in his right pinkie finger after suffering a cut in a drone accident, and in the bottom of the first the stitches opened up and turned Bauer's throwing hand into a bloody mess.
As he exited, Blue Jays fans taunted Bauer with a standing ovation.
Fortunately, the Indians have the most dominant bullpen we've seen in basically forever and picked Bauer up as the Indians won 4-2.
After the game, Bauer posted this tweet that summed up everything about his night, including the fake love from Toronto.
Burn.
1) what a W!! 2) my cleats got a bit dirty. 3) loudest standing ovation I've gotten walking off the mound. ??????... pic.twitter.com/1VUozRBSaG
