Twins' Buxton swinging bat underwater during rehab

I'm pretty sure everything Byron Buxton does is cool.

Have you ever injured your hand? Maybe you did some resistance exercises, maybe got crazy and did some rice bucket work.

Buxton is swinging bats underwater.

The Minnesota Twins budding superstar is currently rehabbing a left thumb injury and took some dry swings submerged in water.

"It's something a little different than I would have imagined 30 years ago," Twins manager Paul Molitor told the Pioneer Press. He also noted that Buxton is also doing more traditional rehab, such as fielding ground balls and fly balls.

That's not nearly as exciting, though.

Depending on how he responds to this rehab, the Twins can then outline a more solid schedule for his return.

Prior to his injury, the center fielder was hitting .189 (7/37) with a double and triple in 11 games this season.
