UPDATE: Hunter Pence's special scooter recovered, two arrested

UPDATE: A scooter stolen from San Francisco's Make-A-Wish office that was autographed by San Francisco Giants outfielder Hunter Pence has been found and two suspects have been arrested.

Make-A-Wish Foundation spokeswoman Jen Wilson says San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee came to the city's foundation office Tuesday morning to deliver the good news.

The San Francisco Police Department says 37-year-old Judd Janke and 26-year-old Nicholas Tiller were arrested in the case. It says a third suspect is being sought.

The department says the scooter was recovered Monday after beat officers recognized the two men in a surveillance video.

A foundation donor paid $40,000 at an auction for the scooter and dinner for four with Pence last year. The scooter was being stored at the office.

The MLB season officially began on Sunday, which was good news for everyone that enjoys baseball. For Hunter Pence, though, it wasn't a great day. That's because his scooter was stolen ... again.

It's the second time in two years that his electric scooter has been taken, with the first time coming in May of 2014. That time, it was lifted from outside a restaurant in San Francisco and later returned to AT&T Park.

After Pence got his ride back, he donated it to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. And on Sunday, it was stolen yet again.

According to NBC Bay Area, two men broke into the Make-A-Wish Foundation office and took the autographed scooter, which one donor paid $40,000 for. The thieves also got off with laptops, iPads and other valuables.

Pence was understandably heartbroken, sending out this tweet on Sunday night.

Hopefully the scooter is returned unharmed once again.
