Jose Altuve came within a few feet of his 20th home run of the season on Thursday, but he settled for the Little League variety instead.
The Astros’ second baseman and AL MVP candidate drove a pitch from Twins starter Jose Berrios off the center-field wall at Target Field in the first inning Thursday. And the comedy of errors ensued.
Officially, it will go down as an RBI double. And it’s one of the rare times you’ll see a play begin with the ball in center field and end with the ball in left field. It seems everything is going Altuve's way right now.
