Watch: Pujols breaks career-worst hitless streak, asks for baseball

The Los Angeles Angels pulled themselves back into the postseason race by taking a series from the Minnesota Twins over the weekend.

During the two teams' doubleheader on Saturday, Albert Pujols stepped up to the plate mired in a career-worst 0-25 streak. He promptly banged a single through the infield and asked for the baseball once he reached first base.

The gesture was obviously a joke and an expression of relief after breaking his lengthy drought, though Twins pitcher Mike Pelfrey didn't really understand what was going on:

Even though Pelfrey didn't seem to 'get it', first baseman Joe Mauer was clearly in on the joke with Pujols.
