When Price and Jays tried to scooter around Yankee Stadium, they got shut down

Apparently, the only Scooter ever allowed at Yankee Stadium was the late Phil Rizzuto. At least that appeared to be the attitude of stadium security when David Price and pals wanted to zip around inside the ballpark.

Price bought electric scooters called EcoReco for himself and some of his new teammates after being traded to the Toronto Blue Jays this year. "We were like kids in a candy store," Josh Donaldson said, via WEEI.

But trying them out at Yankee Stadium was a no-go. "They all showed up when we were playing the Yankees in New York," Donaldson said. "Then the Yankees security tried to tell us they were going to take us to jail if we rode them at the stadium. We were like, 'We don't need to go jail, so let's put them away.' I'm not going to jail."

Fortunately for the sake of fun, the guys got to ride the scooters to and from their hotel and Fenway Park in Boston.

"Nobody recognized us," Donaldson said.
