BOSTON (AP) Chicago White Sox left-hander Carlos Rodon has returned from a rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte to make his season debut Saturday against the Red Sox in Boston.
The 25-year-old Rodon started the season on the disabled list after left shoulder surgery last September.
To make room on the roster, the White Sox designated right-hander Chris Beck for assignment.
Rodon's last start was Sept. 17 against Tampa Bay.

He began last year on the DL with left biceps bursitis before having his year cut short with left shoulder inflammation.
Beck appeared in 14 games, going 0-0 with a 4.18 ERA.
