World Series Game 6: Starting pitchers for Cubs, Indians

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

Jake Arrieta will take the mound for the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday night against Josh Tomlin of the Cleveland Indians in Game 6 of the World Series.

The Indians return to Cleveland looking to clinch the team’s first title since 1948. The Cubs’ drought dates back to 1908, and Chicago is two games away from reversing Cleveland’s 3–1 series chokehold.

Arrieta pitched well in Game 2, a game Chicago won, before running into a bit of trouble. Tomlin was terrific in Game 3, pitching the Indians to a 1–0 win.

Should the Cubs force a Game 7, Kyle Hendricks will take on Indians ace Corey Kluber in a winner-take-all-game.

Game 6 airs at 8 p.m. ET Tuesday night on Fox.
