World Series ticket prices for Game 5 crumble
Ticket prices for Game 5 of the World Series at Wrigley Field on Sunday are fading as quickly as the Cubs' fans hopes.
At one point a week ago, the get-in price on Vividseats.com was $2,638 and the median price was $7,500.
Now, while far from bargain-basement prices, the get-in price after Game 4 was $612 for standing room. Mind you, in the seventh inning the lowest price was still $1,000. The asking price tumbled out by out, inning by inning in the Indians' 7-2 victory in Game 4 on Saturday.
A seat would cost you $751.
There remain some seats out there for as much as $15,000-plus, but most of the seats have tumbled precipitously from the insane rate that they were going for heading into the World Series.
Now, it seems like someone's best hope is that Indians fans are willing to make the trip to the Windy City for the chance to see their team win the World Series for the first time since 1948.
