Yankees, Cubs have finalized Aroldis Chapman trade
The New York Yankees and Chicago Cubs have completed a trade involving Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman.
FOX Sports insider Ken Rosenthal reported Monday morning that the deal was close, and Jon Heyman later added that it was complete and named several of the players involved.

In exchange for Chapman, the Cubs will send reliever Adam Warren, shortstop prospect Gleyber Torres and outfield prospect Billy McKinney to New York. Torres and McKinney are both among the Cubs' top five prospects, and it's possible another player will be added to the deal.
Chapman has been the subject of intense interest as the Yankees seem to be willing to be sellers as the trade deadline approaches. The 28-year-old closer has 20 saves with a 2.01 ERA this season despite missing the season’s first 30 games while serving a suspension for violating MLB’s domestic violence policy.
Chapman is joining a Cubs team that has baseball’s best record at 59-38. Current Cubs closer Hector Rondon has 18 saves and a 1.95 ERA and likely will move into an eighth-inning role. Chapman and Rondon are two of the hardest-throwing pitchers in baseball, both having reached 100-mph on the radar gun.
