Ayrton Senna's first F1 car up for sale
Twenty years after the death of three-time Formula One World Champion Ayrton Senna, Cars International is selling the Toleman TG183B that got the Brazilian’s start in Formula One.
Just in time for Christmas.
Ayrton Senna competed in his first four Formula One Grand Prix in this chassis. He was the first retirement at Rio de Janeiro, scored one point in the two subsequent races in Kyalami and Zolder and failed to qualify due to a fuel pressure problem in Imola.
The car comes with an original Hart Turbo engine, a spare block from the Toleman team and full documentation and history.
On a related note, Simon Pagenaud is also auctioning off the Ayrton Senna tribute helmet he wore en route to finishing 12th place at the 2014 Indianapolis 500. All proceeds will benefit the Ayrton Senna Institute.
