Burt Reynolds saw the last of his collection roll across the block at the Carlisle Auctions in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, on Friday.

Reynolds’ restored 1977 Pontiac Trans Am sold for a handsome sum of $172K ($181,900 with fees), despite Reynolds having owned the “tribute car” for only a year.

In contrast, a promotional car he’d owned since the making of “Smokey and the Bandit” sold for $450K last year.

The car, which sold on Friday – autographed twice by Reynolds – was identical to the one used in the movie. The winning bidder also received the Florida DMW title that proved that Reynolds was the previous owner, as well as re-creations of Reynolds’ jacket and hat worn in the movies – both of which were worn and autographed by Reynolds.

This autographed hat and jacket were both sold with the car and were worn by Reynolds during a photo shoot ahead of the auction.
