Everything you need to know about the ABC Supply 500

Published Aug. 22, 2016 9:45 a.m. ET

Monday’s ABC Supply 500 serves as round 13 of 16 of the 2016 Verizon IndyCar Series. The 200-lap, 500-mile race was initially scheduled for Sunday, but was delayed due to rain.

Mikhail Aleshin captured his first pole of his IndyCar career on Saturday with an average speed of 220.455 mph. He will lead the field to green shortly after noon ET. Aleshin was also the fastest in Saturday morning's first practice session, while Helio Castroneves was fastest in the afternoon session.

The field is chasing Simon Pagenaud in the points, but Pagenaud did not qualify too well for today’s race. Other notables who will also have to work their way through the field are Juan Pablo Montoya, Charlie Kimball and defending race winner Ryan Hunter-Reay - who were all involved in crashes in the opening practice.
