Jason Anderson hit in head by motorbike while celebrating MXoN win
UPDATE: Jason Anderson takes to social media to announce that he's OK.
Monster Energy Supercross rider Jason Anderson was involved in a scary incident at the Motocross of Nations on Sunday in Italy. Anderson had just won the second race of the event to put USA into the lead. He was celebrating his victory after crossing the line when a lapped rider's bike flew through the air from behind him and struck him in the head. (Incident takes place at 2:20 in the following video)
According to witness reports, Anderson was alert and was taken to the on-track medical center.
The official MXGP Twitter account sent out a tweet reporting that they heard he was "OK." Soon after, TransWorld Motocross reported that he was being taken to a local hospital for an MRI to check for a concussion, but was otherwise fine. Anderson missed the third and final race of the event. France were the overall winners.
