John Surtees remembered with a moment of noise at Goodwood

The late John Surtees was honored at the 75th Goodwood Members’ Meeting in England last weekend with a moment of noise.

Surtees, who was the only World Champion on two and four wheels, passed away at the age of 83 on March 10.

As a tribute to the four-time 500cc and 1964 F1 World Champion, cars from up and down the paddock in Goodwood roared to life last weekend for a moment of noise that we’re sure would have made him smile.

John Surtees was on track at Goodwood as recently as September when he drove as part of the Jack Brabham Tribute Parade.
