Marshal forced to run for his life during F1 race restart
UPDATE: Miscommunication between local officials and race control being blamed for the incident.
A track marshal found himself running for his life during Sunday's Singapore GP at the Marina Bay Street Circuit in Singapore.
The Safety Car had been deployed on the first lap of the race due to an incident at the start that took out Force India's Nico Hulkenberg.
The race was quickly restarted, however, as the Safety Car pulled back into the pits at the end of Lap 2.
The quick restart apparently took a track marshal by surprise as Nico Rosberg led the field back to green at full power while the marshal was still picking up debris on the front straight.
The marshal was literally forced to run for his life as the cars closed in on him, but fortunately got back off the track just in time.

At the same race last year, a Safety Car was deployed when a fan walked out onto the racetrack during the race.
