Eugene Laverty - a 30-year-old Irish motorcycle racer who has competed in MotoGP and World Superbikes - has finally passed his motorcycle test.

This comes just two days after the Aprilia rider jumped off his motorbike after severing a brake line during a World Superbike race at Imola on Saturday.

Knowing his bike was going to crash, Laverty opted to part ways with his bike just before it hit the wall and exploded into a fireball.

We wonder if jumping off a motorcycle at over 100 mph was a requirement on his motorcycle test?
