There are 12 Formula One World Champions on Twitter

On Saturday, 1979 Formula One World Champion Jody Scheckter was supporting scouts at McLaren F1’s base in Woking, England.

Scheckter tweeted out a picture of his Ferrari T4 at the factory, which gained traction on social media. It was at this point that we realized that… eh… we hadn’t officially welcomed Mr. Scheckter to Twitter yet:

To make sure we’re not making the same mistake with anyone else, we decided to flick through the list of the 32 Formula One World Champions and see how many in total had Twitter accounts.
